EBRSO Looking For Pepper-Spraying Phone Thief

East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Detectives are looking for a man that pepper-sprayed a T-Mobile employee on Siegen Lane on January 18, 2015 and stole more than $2,500 worth of phones.

According to reports, a man entered the T-Mobile Store and began looking at the phones and tablets which were on the rear display wall. When a sales representative approached the man to see if he needed assistance, the produced a can of pepper spray from his sleeve and sprayed the employee in the face and eyes. He then used an unknown object to cut several phones and tablets from the display wall. When another employee came from the back of the store, the suspect fled on foot north bound through the Target parking lot behind the Chick Fil-A.

The suspect is described as black male with medium skin tone, approximately 5'5 and weighing 150 to 160 lbs. He was wearing a dark colored “V-neck” sweater vest with a tan button down long-sleeve shirt and a dark-colored hat with blue jeans.

The same suspect is believed to have robbed a T-Mobile Location on February 15, 2015 in New Orleans (stills attached). The suspect did not directly spray any employees in New Orleans, but did spray the chemical agent in the air around the store’s door to prevent anyone from following him.
