East Baton Rouge Sheriff's Office K-9 Team Named Top Dog in Regional Championsihp Just Months After Sweeping Nationals

The East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office K-9 Team was named the 2015 United States Police Canine Association Region 10 Champions just six months after recieving the Top Dog award in the National Trials.

Captain James Broussard and K-9 INDO recieved the Top Dog award as well as winning firts place in Patrol, Agility, Article Search, Box Search and Scent Work in the local Regional Trials held this past week. This past October, Captain Broussard and INDO attended the 2014 USPCA trials held in Wilson, NC. where forty-six agencies participated with 104 Police K-9 teams, representing 26 Regions from the USPCA and were named the 2014 USPCA National Champions, making them the first-ever Region 10 team to win from Louisiana.  The duo scored 693.34 points out of a possible 700, receiving perfect scores in three of the five events. The duo has a long history of winning trials as they recieved the Regional Top Dog award in 2013 as well as First Place in Patrol. In 2014, the pair came in Second Place in the Regional Trials, though went on to win First Place
