Incident: Attempt First Degree Murder/Armed Robbery

Attempt First Degree Murder /Armed Robbery in the 4300 block of Kerrit St. On 4-21-2007 at approximately 2:38am, Deputies responded to the prior listed area in reference to an armed robbery. Responding Deputies and Detectives were advised that two B/M suspects one armed with a shotgun the other a handgun entered the residence demanding the victim's money. There were approximately five male subjects in the residence at this time. The victims fought with the robbers, one victim sustained a gunshot wound to the arm, and two other victims were struck during the robbery. The suspects fled the residence on foot, last seen running behind the residence. The victims were transported to a local hospital for treatment of their wounds. The injuries are non-life threatening. The suspects are described as B/M's wearing white mask and black clothing. Detectives Evans, Fruge and Green are investigating this incident under file # 07-25540. Incident: Attempt Armed Robbery

Attempt Armed Robbery at 7004 Siegen Ln. location of Burger King. On 4-21-2007 at approximately 12:40 am, two B/M's one armed with a handgun was observed outside of the restaurant acting suspicious. An employee observed one of the B/M subjects hiding behind the building, the employee ran inside the building and locked the door. A second B/M appeared at the drive-thru window beating on the glass with a handgun. The two subjects fled the area on foot. No items were taken or injuries reported. The first subject is described as a light complexion B/M wearing a blue shirt blue bandana and a blue cap. The second subject is described as a B/M wearing a blue jumpsuit and black bandana. Dy. K. Incident: Felony Theft

Deputies are currently investigating several thefts that have occurred at DEMCO (Dixie Electric Membership Corporation)located at 16262 Wax Road. Unknown subject(s) gained entrance to the property at DEMCO and have taken large amounts of copper wire. The incidents occurred on March 05, April 09,14,20, between the hours of 5:00pm –7:30am Anyone with information on these thefts are urged to call the Sheriff's Office.

Incident: Business Burglary

Detectives are investigating a burglary that occurred at 13787 Old Hammond Hwy., the location of GoPhone Wireless. At approximately 12:10am seven unknown suspects forced entry into the business and committed a burglary. The suspects fled the store with a large amount of merchandise. Incident: Auto Theft Investigation

On March 19, 2007, Auto Theft Detective, Sgt. Billy Welborn was contacted by Pointe Coupee Sheriff's Office Detectives, who were asking for assistance in the recovery of a stolen Kubota tractor, that was believed to be getting repaired at Recreational Specialties; location of 12014 Greenwell Springs Rd. Baton Rouge La. Pointe Coupee detectives advised the tractor , as well as two others, were taken from the business of Progressive Tractor in New Roads, La.,. The business was broken into on two separate occasions in 2005. During the course of this investigation all three stolen Kubota tractors valued at approximately $29,500.00 were recovered. The investigation also revealed that the three Kubota tractors had been sold in East Baton Rouge Parish to three separate individuals .

On 04/18/2007 an arrest warrant for L.R.S.14:69 Illegal Possession Of Stolen Things was issued for Bryan Keith Hutchinson ,AKA "Bubba", w/m, d.o.b.07/19/1973 after learning he was the person who possessed and sold the tractors to the individuals.

Incident: Narcotics Seizure and Arrests

On Tuesday, April 17, 2007, the Narcotics Division executed a search warrant in the 3000 block of Bogan Walk, Baton Rouge, LA. The execution resulted in the seizure of four ounces of crack cocaine, a Tech 9, a 30-30 rifle, two handguns, a sawed off shotgun and $1,170.00 of drug proceeds. Torrey Ross (B/M 12/29/1976) and Jessica Reed (B/F 4/6/1977) were both charged with PWITD crack cocaine in excess of twenty-eight grams, possession of marijuana, illegal carrying of a firearm, possession of sawed off shotgun and booked into East Baton Rouge Parish Prison accordingly.
