Detectives are investigating an attempt first degree murder, aggravated burglary, armed robbery that occurred in the 8400 block of Christian Paul. Two male victims were sleeping in their apartment when a black male and female forced entry and entered. During the robbery, a struggle ensued, during which time the black male shot one of the victims. Afterward, both suspects fled the area. The victims were treated for their injuries at a local hospital. The suspects are described as follows:

Suspect #1. Black male, approximately 30 to 35 yoa, approximately 6' to 6'2" tall, 190 to 200 lbs, dark complexion, wearing black pants with a black hooded jacket.

Suspect #2. Black female, approximately 30 to 35 yoa, approximately 5'8" tall, 190 lbs, wearing tan shorts and a t-shirt.

Detectives are investigating an armed robbery that occurred on Jade Avenue near its intersection with GSRI Ave. The victim was working in the area, walking along Jade Ave., when he was approached by three or four black males. The suspects were armed with sticks that they used to beat the victim. After beating the victim, the suspects robbed him of his personal belongings and fled the area. The victim was treated by emergency personnel and released. The suspects are described as young black males who were wearing white shirts and blue jeans. Detectives are investigating an armed robbery that occurred at 16441 S. Harrells Ferry Rd., the location of The St. Jean Apartments. The victims were in the parking lot when they were approached by three black males. One of the suspects was armed with a handgun. The victims were then returned to an apartment where they were robbed of their personal belongings. A third victim who had been in the apartment was also robbed. Upon completion of the robbery the suspects fled the area. The suspects are described as follows......

Suspect #1. Black male, 20 to 30 yoa, wearing a tan button up shirt with black stripes on both sides with blue baggy shorts. Suspect #1 was armed with a handgun.

Suspect #2. Black male, approximately 5'4" tall, full face, bald head, wearing a white t-shirt and baggy blue shorts.

Suspect #3. Black male, approximately 5'10" tall, plaited hair, wearing a white t-shirt and baggy blue shorts.

The suspects were last seen leaving the area in an older model, maroon, Pontiac Grand Am. Persons with information regarding this investigation are asked to call 389-5000.

On 04/11/2007 EBRSO narcotic detectives had the occassion to be patrolling the area of Gardere Lane. While patrolling the area of Brousard Plaza Aptartments located at 8686 Coy Avenue. Agents observed the street level sale of narcotcs taking place. Upon contacting the accused, Timon Dillion B/M dob 08/09/1984, Agents seized five baggies of suspected marijuana and 3.6 grams of crack cocaine. Mr. Dillion was arrested and booked into East Baton Rouge Parish Prison for Possession with intent to distribute Cocaine and Marijuana.

Detectives are investigating an attempt armed robbery, attempt first degree murder that occurred at 4346 Joor Rd., the location of the Kwik Shop. At approximately 10:55pm, two black males entered the store armed with hand guns. The suspects attempted to rob the clerk who was locked inside a safe area. When the clerk refused to comply with the robbery, one of the suspects attempted to shoot the clerk. After shooting the weapon, both suspects fled the store running east along Joor Rd. Unharmed, the clerk then contacted authorities. The suspects are described as black males, both wearing dark clothing and hoods. On March 16, 2007, Cpl.Michelli along with Sgt.Henderson apprehended and arrested Charles Edward Brown, Black Male, Dob:12-23-56 of 360 West Garfield, Baton Rouge, La. as he was committing a Burglary and Theft at a business located at 100 Springfield Rd. The accused was stealing copper wire which he had been selling to area scrap yards. This Burglary was listed under EBRSO File 07-16775.

The accused was also charged with another Simple Burglary which occurred at the same location on a prior date. This Burglary was listed under EBRSO File 07-16797.

The accused was booked into the EBR Parish Prison.

On March 16,2007, Cpl. Michelli arrested Deandre Contrill Nixon, Black Male, Dob:1-5-83 of 857 St.John Dr., Baton Rouge, La. for Burglarizing a residence located at 16585 Plank Rd. and stealing items from the interior of the residence. During this investigation it was found that the accused is a cousin to the victim of this burglary.

The accused was booked into the EBR Parish Prison for the above titled offenses. The accused was also a Fugitive for Probation and Parole.

Cpl.Darryl Michelli with the Armed Robbery and Burglary Unit conducted an investigation into Thefts which occurred at the Circle K Store located at 12392 Plank Rd. between Jan. 20, and Feb. 24,2007.

During the course of this investigation on March 1,2007, Cpl.Michelli arrested Dan Edward Parker, Black Male, Dob:4-4-76 of 10713 North Park Ave., Baton Rouge,La. with the above listed offenses and booked him into the EBR Parish Prison.

Simple Robbery at 9958 Burbank location of the Cracker Barrel parking lot. On 4-8-2007 at approximately 10:10pm, Deputies responded to the parking lot of the Cracker Barrel Store in reference to a simple robbery. The victim advised Deputies that while at the store, the victim was attempting to obtain change for a $100.00 dollar bill. The victim observed three B/M subjects sitting in a bright Blue or Purple in color Chevrolet Caprice. The victim asked the B/M's if they could change the bill. One of the B/M subjects demanded the victim's money. The subject advised the victim to give up the money or be shot; the victim did not see a weapon. The B/M grabbed the money as the vehicle sped off heading down Elvin. The victim was not injured. The B/M's are described as follows: Driver: Shaved head dark complexion wearing a black sweatshirt. Front seat passenger: Dark complexion cornrow hairstyle blue sweatshirt with gold teeth. Backseat passenger: Only described as a B/M. Dy. G. Leblanc investigated this incident under file # 07-22509. Damage to Property in the 9000 block of Eastbank. On 4-8-2007 at approximately 10:55pm, Deputies responded to the prior listed location in reference to a damaged mailbox. The complainant advised deputies that a loud noise was heard outside of their residence. Deputies observed the complainants mailbox lying in the roadway damaged. Some type of explosive device damaged the mailbox. Dy. K. Darensbourg along with Det. T. Morris investigated this incident under file # 07-22520. Detectives are requesting the public's assistance in identifying the person or persons responsible for this incident. Traffic Fatality in the 1500 block of Rafe Mayer Rd. On 4-8-2007 at approximately 10:18am, Deputies responded to a two-car accident at the prior listed location. Deputies were advised during the course of their investigation that a Gold Chrysler Cirrus driven by a 29 year old B/M was traveling east bound on Rafe Mayer Rd. when the B/M changed lanes to pass the vehicle directly in front of their car. The Chrysler struck a Green Honda Accord occupied by a 45-year-old B/F and a B/F juvenile that was traveling in the west bound lane on Rafe Mayer Rd. The victims were taken to local hospitals for treatment of their injuries. The driver of the Chrysler was prounced dead at a local hospital. The two females were treated for non-life threatening injuries. The name of the deceased is being withheld pending notification of next of kin. The Sheriffs Office Traffic Fatality Unit investigated this incident under file # 07-22387.
