Incident: Attempt First Degree Murder /Armed Robbery

Attempt First Degree Murder and Armed Robbery at 8845 Coy Ave. On 3-24-2007 at approximately 5:24am, Deputies responded to the International House of Pancakes on College Dr. in reference to an armed robbery investigation. Det. T. Morris along with responding Deputies were advised that the victim was walking in the 8000 block of Coy Ave. when the victim was approached by two subjects that the victim has seen in the Gardere area before. The subjects were identified as a B/F and a B/M. The subjects approached the victim and demanded the victim's money. The B/F described as short wearing white shorts dark colored shirt with reddish hair presented a weapon and fired at the victim. The B/M described as large and tall with long braided hair took the victims wallet. The wallet contained no money. The suspects fled the area after taking the wallet. The victim sought treatment for a gunshot wound to the back. While enroute to a local hospital, the victim observed a BRPD officer at the I-HOP. The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment of their wounds. The injuries are non-life threatening. Det. T. Morris is investigating this incident under file # 07-18675. Incident: Attempted Second Degree Murder

Attempted Second Degree Murder on Matthews Street. On 3-24-2007 at approximately 6:02pm, Deputies were advised that a B/M suffering from a gunshot wound to the arm was taken to a local hospital for treatment of their injuries. The injuries are non-life threatening. Responding Deputies along with Detectives were advised that the victim was shot at an unknown location on Matthews St. Detectives Green and Fruge learned the victim observed the accused sitting on a car in a driveway at an unknown residence on Matthews St. The victim confronted the accused in reference to the victims stolen truck, which was reported to The Baton Rouge Police Dept. several weeks ago. The accused presented a black and gray semi-auto handgun firing several rounds at the victim. The victim sought medical attention after being struck in the arm. The shooter was identified as Aaron Kimble 30-year-old B/M. Detectives are currently searching for Aaron Kimble; the accused frequents the Glen Oaks area. Detectives D. Green and K. Fruge' are investigating this incident under file # 07-18819. Detectives are investigating a burglary that occurred at 3915 Joor Rd., the location of Custom Chrome. An unknown person or persons forced entry into the rear of the business. The person(s) fled the area prior to the arrival of responding deputies. Persons with information regarding this investigation are asked to call 389-5000.

Incident: Fugitives from EBRSO

During the months of August, September, and October 2006, Tammy Kirklin (B/F, 11/11/86), Ami Kirklin (B/F, 02/26/81) and Alicia Maloid (B/F, 04/13/88) committed several Bank Frauds, Forgeries, and Thefts. During these incidents, the three women stole $21,200.00.

The Kirklins and Maloid committed the Bank Frauds by using checks from one victim that were stolen from a mailbox and by using checks from a second victim that were stolen during an armed robbery. The Kirklin's nephew was arrested for the armed robbery under EBRSO file 06-59425.

Tammy Kirklin has been arrested, but Ami Kirklin and Alicia Maloid are still wanted. Financial Crimes Detectives Cpl. K. Chenier and Sgt. M. Bienvenu along with Uniform Patrol Lt. C. Pollar executed a search warrant at 4326 Kerrit on 03/20/07, but were unable to locate the suspects. Ami Kirklin and Alicia Maloid are pictured below.

Incident: Burglary

Burglary at 13241 Perkins Rd. location of The Jambalaya Shoppe. On 3-20-2007 at approximately 2:33am, Deputies responded to an alarm at the prior listed business. Arriving Deputies observed the front glass door had been shattered. The Cash register was pried open it is unknown at this time if anything was taken. The person or persons responsible for this incident had fled the area prior to Deputies arrival. Dy. B. Daigle is investigating this incident under file # 07-17667. Burglary at 13520 Perkins Rd. location of Jaguar Cleaners. On 3-20-2007 at approximately 2:28am, Deputies were dispatched to the prior listed business in reference to an alarm at the business. Arriving Deputies observed the glass front door had been smashed. The cash register was pried open along with a secondary door located within the cleaners. It is unknown at this time if any items are missing. No one was observed in the area upon Deputies arrival. Dy. J. Washington investigated this incident under file # 07-17666.
