Burglary at 10465 Airline Hwy. location of Smokers Break. On 3-10-2007 at approximately 10:24pm Deputies responded to the prior listed location in reference to an alarm. Deputies observed the rear door to the business had been damaged and forced open. No one was observed in the area upon Deputies arrival. A representative from the business advised that an undetermined amount of cigarettes and other tobacco products were taken. Dy. R. Evans investigated this incident under file # 07-15394. Armed Robbery at 3057 O'Neal Lane. On 3-10-2007 at approximately 9:00pm Deputies responded to the prior listed location in reference to an armed robbery of four individuals. Deputies were advised by the victims that as they were standing outside of the prior listed residence they were approached by two B/M's wearing white sweat shirts with hoods and white bandanas walked up to the victims and flashed a handgun at the victims. Several of the victims were struck with the handgun The B/M's took approximately $ 30.00 dollars in cash along with several of the victims identification. The victims received minor injuries. The B/M's fled the area on foot. The victims observed a Grey in color 2-door Buick leave the area immediately after the robbery. It is unknown whether this vehicle was involved in this incident. Dy. Attempt Armed Robbery at 9053 Prescott Rd. On 3-10-2007 at approximately 9:25pm Deputies responded to the prior listed address in reference to an attempted armed robbery of an individual. Responding Deputies were advised by two victims that as they were sitting in their 1997 Nissan truck two B/M's in their early 20's approximately 5'2" to 5'5" inches tall slender build medium complexion wearing white T-shirts dark pants one armed with a handgun forced the victims from the truck. One of the victims struggled with the armed B/M. During the course of the struggle, the handgun fell to the ground. The B/M picked the gun up and fled the area with his accomplice in an unknown direction. The victim involved in the struggle received minor injuries. Dy. C. Attempted Purse Snatching at 14445 Wax Rd. location of Dollar Tree. On 3-9-2007 at approximately 9:40pm, Deputies responded to the prior listed address in reference to an attempted purse snatching. The victim advised responding Deputies as they were approaching their vehicle in the parking lot a W/M approximately 6'0" tall 170 pounds with an athletic build approached the victim riding a large dark colored mountain bicycle with chrome handlebars. The W/M attempted to grab the purse from the victims shoulder. Another person in the parking lot frightened off the W/M. The victim didn't see a weapon, no injuries were reported. Attempted Armed Robbery at the intersection of Satinwood and Greenwell Street. On 3-10-2007 at approximately 1:54am Deputies responded to the prior listed area in reference to an attempted armed robbery of an individual. The victim advised responding Deputies as they were walking north on Satinwood near Greenwell St. a B/M approximately 5'0" to 5'1" tall 120 to 130 pounds wearing a black hooded jacket and dark pants approached the victim presented a silver in color handgun and demanded the victims money. The victim advised they had no money on their person. A passing motorist startled the B/M causing the B/M to flee the area on foot. The victim was not injured. Dy. A. Detectives are investigating a burglary that occurred at 12512 Greenwell Springs Rd., the location of Tiger Central. An unknown person or persons forced entry into the business and committed the burglary. The responsible person(s) fled the area prior to the arrival of responding deputies. Detectives are investigating a burglary that occurred at 14241 Coursey Blvd #A1B, the location of Sally Beauty Supply. An unknown person or persons forced entry into the business and committed the burglary. The responsible person(s) fled the area prior to the arrival of responding deputies. Detectives are investigating a 1st degree robbery that occurred in the 17100 block of Strain Rd. The victim was robbed of his personal belongings by two black males. The victim had received a ride from Hammond to Baton Rouge from the suspects. After cashing his work check, the victim was driven to Strain Rd. where he was overpowered and robbed. The suspects fled the area in a green Oldsmobile Alero. The suspects are described as both being black males, approximately 20 to 24 years of age, both approximately 5'6" in height. One of the suspects was known to the victim as "Trail" and one was known as "Lucky". Persons with information regarding this investigation are asked to call 389-5000.

On 2-28-2007, Det. Jamie Dipuma, of the East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriffs Office Armed Robbery and Burglary Division, arrested Stephen Passmore, W/M, charging him with the above listed offenses. Through his investigation Det. Dipuma developed a second suspect, one David Brian Kinne-Knutsen, W/M, of 1231 Ashland Dr., Baton Rouge, La. On 03-07-2007, at 2030hrs, Det. Dipuma arrested Kinne-Knutsen, charging him with (4)cts, Simple Burglary, (4)cts, Simple Criminal Damage To Property, (3)cts, Felony Theft,. The following cases were cleared, 06-63720, 06-63719, 06-63716, and 06-64522. Det. Dipuma transported the suspect to the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison where he was booked accordingly.

Attempt Second Degree Murder at 16441 S. Harrell's Ferry Rd. location of St. Jean Apartments. On 3-6-2007 at approximately 7:55pm, Deputies responded to the prior listed apartment complex in reference to shots being fired in the area. Deputies along with Detectives were advised the victim was walking in the parking lot located in front of building number 28 when two black males approached the victim. One of the B/M's presented a handgun, the victim fled the area. The two B/M's chased the victim on foot while firing several rounds from the handgun at the victim. The victim fled to a safe area, no injuries were reported. The B/M's fled the area in an unknown direction. No physical description of the suspects is available at this time; the suspects were dressed in all black. Detectives are requesting the public's assistance in identifying the suspects in this incident. Lt. T. Felton and Det. J. Ruiz investigated this incident under file # 07-14450. On 03-01-2007, at approx. 1330hrs, Det. Jamie Dipuma, of the East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriffs Office Armed Robbery and Burglary Division, contacted one Stephen Passmore, W/M, of 11902 Lake Lery Ave., Baton Rouge, La., who was already incarcerated at the Parish Prison on unrelated charges. After interviewing Passmore, Det. Dipuma arrested Passmore charging him with (5)cts, Simple Burglary, (4)cts, Simple Criminal Damage To Property, (3)cts, Theft. The following cases were cleared, 06-63716, 06-63719, 06-63720, 06-64522, and 06-64647. This investigation continues by Det. Dipuma.

On 02/29/2007 at approx. 1300hrs, Cpl. Jonathan Alfred of the East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriffs Office Armed Robbery and Burglary Division, contacted one Kevin Anthony Brown, B/M, of 1007 Civic, Monroe, La., who was already incarcerated in the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison on unrelated charges. After interviewing the subject Cpl. Alfred arrested Brown on (9)cts, Simple Burglary, and (9)cts, Felony Theft. Cpl. Alfred was able to clear the following File#'s, 06-80474, 06-80493, 07-313, 07-1608, 07-3838, 07-3929, 07-5228, 07-5704, and 07-5853. This investigation continues by Cpl. Alfred.
