Burglary at 12919 Hooper Rd. location of Central Supercenter Mini-Storage. On 2-25-2007 Deputies responded to the prior listed location in reference to a burglary. During the course of Deputies investigation, Deputies observed the locks had been cut to seven exterior doors connected to the business. Through the seven exterior doors the person or persons responsible for this burglary cut the locks to twenty-seven interior storage units. It is unknown if any property was taken at this time. The burglary occurred during the period from 7:00pm on 2-24-07 to 7:00am on 2-25-07. The persons responsible for this incident may have parked their vehicle behind the closed down Central Inspection Station. Dy. B. Thornton investigated this incident under file # 07-12176. Burglary at 12031 Plank Rd. location of Drusilla Cleaners. On 2-24-2007 at approximately 9:52pm, Deputies responded to the prior listed location in reference to an alarm. Responding Deputies observed the sliding glass door located on the south side of the business had been shattered. A business located in the same building (Bow Shop) as the cleaners was entered through a back door. Once inside the Bow Shop approximately $50.00 dollars in cash was removed from a drawer. Cpl. R. Armed Robbery at 9327 Prescott. On 2-24-2007 at approximately 7:10pm, Deputies responded to the prior listed location in reference to the robbery of an individual. Sgt. K. LeBaron was advised by the victim that while outside the prior listed residence the victim along with another individual was approached by two B/M subjects. The B/M's armed with small black semi-automatic handguns demanded the victims money. The B/M's took approximately $ 1500.00 dollars in cash and the victims Texas drivers license, green card and social security card. The second victims Verizon cell phone was taken. No injuries were reported. The first B/M is described as 5'8" to 5'10" inches tall 160 pounds wearing a white and black stripped shirt dark pants with an Afro hairstyle. The second B/M is described as 5'8" to 5'10" inches tall approximately 160 pounds wearing a white T-shirt. The B/M's fled the area in a small Maroon in color vehicle possibly a Mazda with a loud muffler. The vehicle was driven by a third B/M subject, no description provided at this time. Sgt. K. Burglary at 4241 Jeffery Dr. location of Entire Environmental. On 2-24-2007 at approximately 8:15 am, Deputies responded to the prior listed business in reference to a burglary. Deputies observed the front glass door to the business was broken out. A representative from the business advised investigating Deputies that a fax machine, printer, portable CD player and handgun were missing from the business. Dy. R. Evans was advised the burglary occurred during the period from 6:00pm on 2/23/07 and 8:15am on 2/24/07. Dy. R. Evans investigated this incident under file # 07-11878. Burglary at 15540 George O'Neal location of Eagle Cleaners. On 2-24-2007 at approximately 8:30am, Deputies responded to the prior listed business in reference to a burglary. Investigating Deputies met with a representative from the cleaners and were advised approximately $ 200.00 dollars in cash was missing from two cash drawers located in the business. A small safe was also taken from the store; nothing of value was contained within the safe. Deputy J. Pickering noted the front door to the cleaners was pried open and the business burglarized during the period from 7:30pm on 2/23/07 and 8:30am on 2/24/07. Dy. J. Burglary at 12256 Jefferson Hwy. location of KT and T Food Mart. On 2-23-2007 at approximately 9:51pm, Deputies responded to the prior listed business in reference to an alarm. Responding Deputies observed a large section of glass located on the south side of the building was broken out. The person or persons responsible for the damage to the window had fled the area prior to Deputies arrival. A representative from the store advised Deputies that no items appeared to be missing at this time. Dy. C. Montgomery investigated this incident under file # 07-11802. On 02/21/07 at approximately 2316hrs Sheriffs Office received an alarm at 17150 Jefferson Hwy the location of Cajun Jays Seafood Restaurant. Upon arrival Deputy's found that suspects made entry to the business by breaking the front glass. Upon arrival of the owner he was unable to determine if anything had been taken. The burglary occurred between 9:55pm and 1116 pm. Anyone with information contact Sheriffs Office at 389-5000

On 02/21/07 at approximately 1017hrs Sheriffs Office received an alarm at 8200 Jefferson Hwy the location of Las Palmas Restaurant. Upon arrival Deputy's found that suspects made entry to the business by the front door. Upon arrival of the owner it was determined that suspects stole 3 cash registers and an undetermined amount of cash. The burglary occurred between 1000 pm and 1017 pm. On Thursday, Febuary 22, 2007 at approximately 1210am EBRSO Narcotics Division Interdiction Deputies (HIDTA II) made a traffic stop of an Toronado passenger bus. The bus was traviling from Houston, Tx to Ft Myers, Fla was stoped eastbound on i-12 at Cedarcrest. The stop and subsequent odor alert by K-9 Reza resulted in the seizure of approximately 37lbs of Marijuana.

At 0157 hrs, Sgt. David Grunewald stopped an Adame Passenger bus for speeding 73 in a 60 mph zone on Interstate 12 in Baton Rouge. The bus was enroute to Indianapolis, Indiana from Houston, Texas.

During the stop, the driver granted consent for a check of the luggage bins. K9 Laika was deployed and conducted a sniff search inside the bins. Laika showed an odor response on a large duffel bag and a large suitcase.

A passenger claimed ownership of the bags. The tags on the luggage matched the Mexican drivers license that was on his person.

Inside the bags 64.13 pounds of marijuana was found.

Sergio A. Mora-Reyes was subsequently booked with PWITD Marijuana.

In a seperate stop on I-12 east bound in Baton Rouge, Dy. Chuck Foster stopped an El Expresso Passenger Bus bound for Miami, Fl. from Houston, Tx.

Dy. Foster conducted a search of the luggage compartment and located 128 pounds of Marijuana. The owner/transporter of that marijuana was not located.

On 2/19/2007, a 72 year old female victim was approached by a white male, who initially asked if she needed help with her bags. When she said no, the white male snatched the victim's purse, causing her to fall over her grocery cart. The victim sustained cuts to her hand during the fall to the pavement.

Subsequent investigation revealed that the assailant was driving a black Jaguar that had been reported stolen earlier in the day to the St. Charles Parish Sheriff's Office.

It was learned that the white male assailant had been inside the store, and had been recorded on video in the store using his photo id to return merchandise at the customer center. Using this information, Deputies were able to identify the suspect as Matthew Lucas - White Male, dob 12/8/1987 of St. Rose, La.

Lucas is being sought in connection with this incident by EBRSO Deputies.
