Deputies were dispatched to an alarm at the Spiral Metal Corporation at 4145 N. Flannery Road. Upon arrival it was determined that unknown subject(s) gained forcible entry into the business ransacking several areas. Subject(s) stole a 2004 Ford Ranger, white in color, license number W847585. Deputies from the East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff's Office were dispatched to a shooting that occurred in the 100 blk. of East Flonacher Road. One victim was transported by EMS to a local hospital the victim was shot but was conscious. Deputies learned that the accused Darrel L. Tate, B/M 42 years of age of 3233 Country Plaza Zachary, La. 70791 and the victim were involved in an argument and the victim was subsequently shot. Darrel Tate turned himself in at Zachary Police Department. Tate was taken into custody by deputies and booked into East Baton Rouge Parish Prison for attempted second-degree murder.

Deputies from the East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff's Office along with the Baton Rouge City Police were investigating and incident that occurred at 3939 Victoria Drive Lot 14. During the investigation deputies located suspected crack cocaine within the residence. Deputies arrested,

On January 05, 2007 at approximately 9:00 pm the victim in this case was walking on Silverleaf near Glen Oaks Drive when two black males approached him. One of the black males produced a black semiautomatic weapon, and stole the victims' jacket, and shoes. The suspects were described as suspect #1 – Black, male, wearing all black, Suspect #2 – Black, male, 5'9" 150-160lbs wearing all black with a hooded jacket with the weapon. Burglary at 13580 Coursey Blvd. Suite B location of U Know The Hair Joint. On 1-4-2007 at approximately 11:54pm, Deputies responded to an alarm at the prior listed business. Deputies observed the rear door to the business was forced open. No one was observed in the area upon Deputies arrival. The owner of the business advised approximately $ 200.00 dollars in cash was removed from the business. No other items were reported missing at this time. Deputy T. Stabbing at 8247 Skysail. On 1-4-2007 at approximately 6:59pm, Deputies responded to the prior listed location in reference to a B/M suffering from a stab wound. Deputies from Burbank Sub-Station along with Detectives responded to the incident. Deputies contacted the victim a 25-year-old B/M suffering from a knife wound to the upper torso area. The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment of his injuries. During the course of the investigation, Deputies learned that the accused Dana Lashane Broadway 21 year old B/F the ex-girlfriend of the victim stabbed the victim during the course of a domestic argument. Detective D. Green is currently searching for the accused. The accused is once again identified as Dana Lashane Broadway B/F age 21 5'4" inches tall approximately 125 pounds. Burglary at 11115 Industriplex location of Armstrong McCall. On 1-3-2007 at approximately 10:31pm, Deputies responded to an alarm at the prior mentioned location. Sgt. Arcediano observed a large section of glass located next to the rear door had been broken out. The Sgt. observed a large section of metal, which was used to break the glass. A representative from the company arrived and found no items were missing at this time. Sgt. D. Arcediano is investigating this incident under file # 07-00675. Burglary at 6725 Siegen Lane location of Wonder Cuts. On 1-3-2007 at approximately 10:22pm a security guard working in the area heard what appeared to be glass breakage. The security guard ran to the area and observed the glass portion of the front door to Wonder Cuts had been broken. Deputies responded to the area, no persons were observed. A Light Tan late 90's model Chevrolet Extended Cab pickup truck was observed in the area prior to the burglary. Deputies seized approx. 66.4 grams of suspected marijuana with a street value of $332.00.

1. Michael Anthony - (Male 33) - Arrested for Possession of Firearm by a Convicted Felon, Possession of a Firearm with an Obliterated Serial Number, No Turn Signal and No D.L. on Person.

2. Steven Clark - (Male 26) - Arrested for Drinking in a Motor Vehicle.

3. Viola Perkins - (Female 28) - Arrested for Possession of Marijuana, Failure to Signal Turn (2 Cts) and Running a Stop Sign (2 Cts).

4. Ricky Shepard - (Male 23) - Arrested for Possession of Marijuana, Failure to Signal Turn, Driving Under Suspension and Expired Motor Vehicle Inspection Sticker.

5. Kelvin Williams - (Male 32)- Cited for Failure to Signal Turn and Driving Under Suspension.

6. Larry Jackson - (Male 43) - Cited for Failure to Signal Turn.

7. Robert Shavers Jr. - (Male 24) - Arrested for No Taillight and Possession of Marijuana.

8. Keon Crockett - (Male 18) - Arrested for Possession of Marijuana.

9. Corris Winfrey - (Male 19) - Arrested for No Driver's License, Failure to Signal Turn , No Insurance and Possession of Marijuana.

10. Gregory Scott Jr. - (Male 30) - Cited for No Seatbelt and Failure to Signal Turn.

Deputies seized approx. 61.8 grams of suspected marijuana with a street value of $309.00. Deputies also seized one Glock .40 caliber semi-automatic handgun with a street value of approx. $300.00.

Continuing to investigate crime in the Prescott Rd. and Tracy Dr. area, on 12/29/2006, Cpl Darryl Michelli obtained probable cause to arrest a 16 year old black male juvenile for an Armed Robbery and Aggravated Burglary that occurred on 10/27/2005. The juvenile is accused of entering an apartment on Tracy Dr., without permission, while armed with a firearm and stealing a wallet from the homeowner before fleeing.

After conducting a burglary investigation in the 24000 block of Plank Rd. where the same residence had been burglarized twice, Cpl.Darryl Michelli arrested the following two subjects; Damion Alexander, b/m, d.o.b. 08/05/1989, aka "Zero" under E.B.R.S.O. file number 06-84316 and Claiborne Terrell Douglas, b/m, d.o.b. 11/07/1974, under E.B.R.S.O. file number 06-82462. Both subjects were each booked into the Parish Prison for One count Simple Burglary Of An Inhabited Dwelling and Theft.

Deputies are investigating a second degree robbery that occurred at 4500 Burbank Drive, the location of the University Commons Apartments. The victim was approached by two black females while standing in the parking lot. One of the black females ordered the victim to give her purse to her. When the victim refused, the suspect grabbed the purse and pulled it from the victim. The suspect struck the victim, and then fled the area in a green sports car. The suspects are described as follows: Suspect #1. Black female, light complexion, approximately 5'5" in height, wearing plaid pants with a red shirt and a blue denim jacket. Suspect #2. Black female, wearing a white long sleeve shirt. Persons with information regarding this investigation are asked to call 389-5000.

Detectives are investigating an attempted armed robbery that escalated into an attempted first degree murder. The victim was located at 7111 Hooper Rd., the location of Shell Food Mart. While in the parking lot, the victim was approached by two black males who were occupying a small brown or tan car. One of the black males asked to use the victim's cellular phone. As the suspect exited the vehicle, he produced a handgun and attempted to rob the victim. The victim began to struggle with the suspect for control of the gun. The suspect then shot the victim at least one time. The suspect then fled the area. The victim is being treated for his injuries at a local hospital.

The suspects are described as follows: Suspect #1. Black male, approximately 5'2" to 5'3" in height, weighing approximately 125 lbs., wearing a red shirt and baggy blue jeans. Suspect #2.
