Armed Robbery at 8686 Coy. On 12-29-2006 at approximately 8:48pm, Deputies responded to the prior listed location in reference to an armed robbery of an individual. Deputies were advised that the victim was standing outside in the courtyard area of the apartment complex when two b/m subjects approached the victim. The b/m's pointed a semi-auto handgun at the victim advising the victim "Give it up " the victim advised he didn't have anything. The subjects turned and fled the area on foot toward the rear of the complex. No injuries were reported, nor any items taken. The two b/m's were described as follows. First b/m is described as 5'7" to 5'8" inches tall thin build wearing a long white T-shirt and black pants armed with a large handgun. The second b/m is described as 5'5" inches tall thin build wearing a long sleeve black shirt and black pants. Dy. G. Johnson investigated the incident under file # 06-86712. Burglary at 11422 Industriplex location of Pitney Bowes. On 12-29-2006 between the hours of 5:00pm and 7:50pm, someone entered the prior listed business through a side door located on the South side of the business. Deputies responded to an alarm at the business, upon arrival Deputies entered the building noting pry marks on a door leading to the office area. A representative from the business was notified and advised Deputies based on their initial observations nothing appeared to be missing. Sgt. D. DEPUTIES SEIZED APPROX 26.2 GRAMS OF SUSPECTED MARIJUANA WITH A STREET VALUE OF $131.00, APPROX.292 ECSTASY PILLS WITH A STREET VALUE OF $5,960.00. APPROX. 128 HYDROCODONE PILLS STREET VALUE APPROX $2,560.00. AND 20 ZANAX PILLS STREET VALUE APPROX. $400.00.

On 12/14/2006 Uniform Dy.'s responded to a Burglary in progress on Tracy Dr., B.R La 70814. Armed Robbery and Burglary Det.'s D.Michelli and B.Welborn were nearby and responded as well.The suspects fled the scene on foot prior to Dy.'s arrival. Through investigation, Det.'s were able to arrest Dorian Harris,b/m,d.o.b.06/08/1988 and a 16 year old male juvenile for the crime. Harris was booked into the Parish Prison and the juvenile was placed into the Juvenile Detention Center.

Aggravated Criminal Damage to Property in the 4500 block of E. Essen Heights. On 12-25-2006 at approximately 9:30pm, the complainant heard a loud explosion outside their residence. The complainant investigated but was unable to determine the cause of the noise. A short while later, a neighbor that also heard the loud noise contacted the complainant with the complainants damaged mailbox in their hand. The neighbor further advised that after the noise the neighbor observed a car speeding away from the scene heading toward South Essen Heights. No injuries were reported during this incident. Dy. A Genola and Sgt. A. Stevens are investigating this incident under file # 06-86018. 1st. Degree Robbery at 8953 Burbank. On 12-25-2006 at approximately 9:55pm, Deputies responded to the prior listed location in reference to a robbery. The victim advised Deputies they were robbed while sitting in their 1999 Blue Ford F-250 P/U while waiting for traffic to clear at the STOP sign located at Burbank and Elvin. The victim stated a b/m approximately 5'8" inches tall 185 pounds dark complexion wearing a blue sweatshirt asked the victim " Do you want to buy some killer weed " the victim declined at which time the b/m asked the victim for money. The b/m led the victim to believe they were armed with a weapon. The victim took out their wallet and turned over $ 55.00 dollars in cash to the b/m. The b/m fled the scene on foot last seen running toward Jasper and Elvin. No injuries were reported. Dy. C. Parker and Detective Gallo investigated this incident under file # 06-85793. Deputies responded to the 13700 block of Kenner Ave. in reference to a reported stabbing. Upon arrival, deputies found a Hispanic male who had been stabbed once. The victim was subsequently transported to a local hospital for treatment of his wound. After investigation, it was determined that the victim and his roommate, Luis Cardona, had become involved in an argument. This resulted with Mr. Cardona stabbing the victim. Mr. Cardona was subsequently charged with attempt second degree murder and booked at the parish prison.
