Incident: Prostitution Arrests
On the evening of Thursday, November 30, 2006, the Narcotics Division initiated an undercover investigation into the prostitution activity in the area of Victoria Drive. The operation was successful in making the arrest of three w/f for various criminal offenses. The accused along with their charges are listed below:
1. Michelle R. Cluck, W/F, DOB 7/5/73
Prostitution and Crimes Against Nature
2. Melissa A. James, W/F, DOB 12/01/75
Prostitution, Crimes Against Nature and Bench Warrant from Juvenile
Court
3. Patricia Dorsey, W/F, DOB 9/14/65
Prostitution, Crimes Against Nature, Entering Contraband Into a Penal
Institution, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
All, of the accused, were booked into East Baton Rouge Parish Prison accordingly.
Incident: Purse Snatching
Detectives are investigating a purse snatching that occurred at 4500 Sherwood Common Blvd, the location of the Sherwood Common apartments. The victim was walking through the complex parking lot when she was approached by three black males. One of the black males told the victim to give him her purse. Before the victim could respond, the suspect took the purse and fled the area. Persons with information regarding this investigation are asked to call 389-5000.
Incident: Armed Robbery,3cts S.Burg.Of An Inh.Dwelling,3cts Theft,3cts S.Crim.Dam.To Prop
On 11/21/2006 Central Substation Deputies responded to a residential burglary that had just occurred on Kerrit Dr. A vehicle riding in the area was stopped by uniform patrol deputies and the occupants were identified. Armed Robbery And Burglary Det.'s Cpl.D.Michelli and Sgt.B.Welborn arrived and began an investigation on scene that resulted in the arrest of two of the vehicle occupants for the residential burglary.They were identified as Henry Kori Baloney, b/m, d.o.b. 10/13/1989 and Leroy Locket, b/m, d.o.b. 01/10/1987. Further investigation led to the arrest of both subjects for an Armed Robbery that occurred on 09/04/2006 at Joor Rd. and Prescott Rd. The victim of that Armed Robbery was selling clothing from his vehicle and robbed at gunpoint by several b/m's.The suspects stole the clothing that the victim was selling and his vehicle.It was reported to the Sheriff's Office under file number 06-59425. Baloney was additionally charged with two cts of Simple Burglary Of An Inhabited Dwelling and two cts Felony Theft under File numbers 06-71575 and 06-71612 that occurred on 10/24/2006.Lockett was also charged Simple Possession Of Marijuana and two separate bench warrants for three cts Simple Burglary.
Incident: Agg.Burglary,S. Burglary,Poss.Of Firearm By A Convicted Felon, 2cts Felony Theft
On 11/20/2006 at approximately 0815hrs, a residence was burglarized on Lawnridge Dr. The homeowner observed the suspect get into a vehicle and drive away. A short while later the homeowner observed the same vehicle and followed it. The homeowner called 911 and Uniform Deputies were able to stop the vehicle. Christopher Jackson, b/m, d.o.b. 09/27/1979 was placed under arrest for the burglary and Theft on Lawnridge Dr. as well as Reckless Operation Of A Vehicle, No Seat Belt and Expired M.V.I. Subsequent investigation by Armed Robbery and Burglary Det.'s D.Michelli and E.Strickland resulted in additional counts of Aggravated Burglary, Simple Criminal Damage To Property, Felony Theft and Possession Of A Firearm By A Convicted Felon. Two firearms, ammunition and electronics were recovered from the suspect vehicle that were stolen from the residences. Additional charges are expected.
Incident: LRS 14:67 Felony Theft (Auto)
On November 29, 2006, while in the area of Florida Blvd and Beck Street, searching for stolen vehicles, Detectives observed a 2001 Chevrolet Malibu backed into the end of a driveway of an abandoned warehouse located at 535 Beck Street. Detectives were able to identify the vehicle as a stolen vehicle reported as stolen to B.R.P.D. under file number 129254-06. Located sleeping in the rear of the vehicle was a B/M identified as Danny Darnell Murry (DOB 8-23-62). Detectives contacted B.R.P.D. Auto Theft Detectives and learned that Murry was the main suspect in the taking of the vehicle. Murry was taken into custody without incident and booked into parish jail for a violation of L.R.S. 14:68.4 titled Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle.
Incident: Marijuana Seizure
On Thursday, November 30, 2006, EBRSO Narcotics Division Interdiction Deputies stopped an Adame passenger bus, I-12 Eastbound near Millerville., traveling to Tennessee. During the stop, K-9 Reza alerted to a suitcase being carried underneath the bus. This suitcase was found to contain 58 pounds of marijuana. The estimated street value of this seizure is $131,000.00.
Incident: Marijuana Seizure
On Thursday, November 30, 2006, EBRSO Narcotics Division Interdiction Deputies stopped an Adame passenger bus, I-12 Eastbound near Millerville., traveling to Atlanta. During the stop, K-9 Laika alerted to a suitcase being carried underneath the bus. This suitcase was found to contain 75 pounds of marijuana. The estimated street value of this seizure is $170,000.00.

Incident: Marijuana Seizure
On Thursday, November 30, 2006, EBRSO Narcotics Division Interdiction Deputies stopped an El Expresso passenger bus, I-12 Eastbound near Sherwood Blvd., traveling to Florida. During the stop, K-9 Reza alerted to a suitcase being carried underneath the bus. This suitcase was found to contain 61 pounds of marijuana. The estimated street value of this seizure is $138,000.00.

Incident: Traffic Fatality
Deputies are investigating a one vehicle crash that occurred in the 17900 block of Tiger Bend Road. At approximately 10:20pm, deputies were dispatched in reference to a 1997 Mitsubishi Eclipse that had left the roadway and struck a tree. Upon arrival, the driver of the vehicle was found to be deceased. The driver has been identified as Carol K. Powell, 1/24/57, 6620 E Achord Rd. Mrs. Powell was traveling east on Tiger Bend Road when she lost control of her vehicle. The cause of the accident is under investigation.
Incident: Armed Robbery
Detectives are investigating an armed robbery that occurred in the 9900 block of Buttercup Drive. The victim was in his residence when two white males forced entry into the rear of the residence. Both suspects were armed with handguns and robbed the victim of his personal belongings. The suspects fled the area after committing the robbery. The suspects are described as follows: white males, both 25 to 30 years of age, both wore white sweat shirts with hoods and blue jeans. Persons with information regarding this investigation are asked to call 389-5000.
Incident: 10cts. Simple Burglary, 9cts. Theft, &10cts. Simple Criminal Damage to Prop.
On Tuesday, 11-28-06, Detectives with the EBRSO Armed Robbery & Burglary Division arrested Hubert Bourgeois (W/M, 04-12-62) for committing a burglary at the Auto Magic Car Wash located at 7940 Bluebonnet Blvd. Bourgeois was caught in the act of committing this burglary and was subsequently arrested for nine separate burglaries committed at the same location. The other offenses were reported to the Sheriff's Office under the following file numbers; 06-79489, 06-78740, 06-77463, 06-77856, 06-74558, 06-72249, 06-71230, 06-68077, 06-61313, 06-78221.
Incident: Simple Burglary, Simple Criminal Damage To Property, Att. Theft
On 11/25/2006 at approx. 2117hrs, the above Dy's were dispatched to Prescott Middle School regarding several alarms being activated from that location. Upon arrival Dy's were able to catch two B/M juveniles standing near the the west exit door. After interviewing the subjects Dy's arrested them for Simple Burglary, Simple Criminal Damge To Property, and Att. Theft. The subjects were then transported to Juvenile Detention and booked accordingly.
Incident: Simple Burglary, Theft, Simple Criminal Damage To Property
On 11/27/2006 Det. Dipuma arrested a one Alton Hull III, W/M, for Simple Burglary, Theft, and Simple Criminal Damage To Property. On 11/11/2006 Hull broke into Mikes Audio, located at 10505 Airline Hwy. and stole two speakers and an amplifier valued at $1300.00 dollars. Through investigation and after viewing the surveillance tape Det. J. Dipuma was able to identify Hull as the assailant. Hull was arrested for the above offenses and booked into the Parish Prison.
Incident: Drug Seizure
On Wednesday, November 29, 2006, EBRSO Narcotics Division Interdiction Deputies stopped an Adame passenger bus, I-12 Eastbound @ Millerville, traveling from Houston to North Carolina. During the stop, K-9 Laika alerted to several suitcases being carried underneath the bus. These suitcases were found to contain 160 pounds of marijuana. The estimated street value of this seizure is $363,000.00.

Incident: Drug Seizure
On Wednesday, November 29, 2006, EBRSO Narcotics Division Interdiction Deputies stopped an El Expresso passenger bus, I-12 Eastbound @ Millerville, traveling from Houston, TX to Atlanta, GA. During the stop, K-9 Reza alerted to a large suitcase being carried underneath the bus. Upon further investigation of that suitcase it was revealed to contain 64 pounds of marijuana. The estimated street value of this marijuana is $143,000.00.

Incident: LRS 14:68.4 UNAUTHORIZED USE OF A MOTOR VEHICLE
On October 12, 2006, a 2006 Hummer H2 was reported as stolen from Gerry Lane Hummer of Baton Rouge. The H2 had been taken off of the lot by unknown means sometime between October 6th and October 12th. Through investigation, it was learned that the H2 was sitting stationary at 3455 Sterling Drive. Uniformed Deputies as well as Auto Theft personnel went to the Sterling Drive address where the H2 was located and the vehicle was recovered. Found displayed in the rear glass of the recovered H2 was a Louisiana temporary license plate issued to Dameon Dantrelle Johnice (black male, 6-1-77). During the course of the investigation, it was learned that Johnice lives at 3455 Sterling Drive and his employment is associated with the Allstar Dealerships in Baton Rouge. The investigation led to a Warrant being issued for the arrest of Johnice for a violation of L.R.S. 14:68.4 titled Unauthorized use of a Motor Vehicle and L.R.S. 47:536 titled Switched License Plate. Johnice on November 17,2006 surrendered himself to Auto Theft Personnel and was booked into East Baton Rouge Parish Prison reference to the stated charges. The investigation continues.
Incident: Drug Seizure
On the morning of Tuesday, November 28, 2006, East Baton Rouge Sheriff's Office Narcotics Interdiction Deputies made a seizure of 147 pounds of marijuana and 9 kilograms of cocaine. The street value of the narcotics seized in this matter is approximately $1,175,000.00.

Incident: Attempted Armed Robbery
Attempted Armed Robbery at 2171 O'Neal Lane location of Wal-Mart. On 11-27-2006 at approximately 10:50pm, the complainant was going to her vehicle with her cart when three b/m's occupying a newer model Red Oldsmobile Alero approached them. A b/m exited the vehicle wearing a grey sweatshirt armed with a handgun. The complainant fled the area returning to the store. The b/m returned to the vehicle fleeing also. No injuries were reported or items taken. The only descriptions for the suspects are as follows; the suspect that actually exited the vehicle and approached the victim was wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt. The driver had braids in their hair. Lt. K. Waguespack is investigating this incident under file # 06-79328. Incident: Armed Robbery
Armed robbery at 6401 Bluebonnet location of the Mall of Louisiana. On 11-27-2006 at approximately 9:50pm, the victim was standing at the bus stop when three subjects occupying a Red Oldsmobile Alero approached the victim. The front seat passenger exited the vehicle pointing a chrome in color semi-auto at the victim. The subject demanded the victims cell phone and any money the victim had. The victim advised he had no money; the subject took the cell phone, returned to the vehicle and fled the area south on Bluebonnet toward Perkins Rd. No injuries were reported. The robber is described as a light complexion b/m approximately 6'1" inches tall wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt dark pants low hair cut armed with a chrome semi-auto handgun. The driver is described as a b/f approximately 18 to 24 years of age dark complexion slim build braided hairstyle wearing a light colored shirt. The back seat passenger is described as a b/m dark complexion wearing a white hooded sweatshirt. Sgt. A. Stevens is investigating this incident under file # 06-79312. Incident: Armed Robbery
Armed Robbery at 2001 Millerville location of Super Target Store. On 11-27-2006 at approximately 4:41pm, a w/m subject exited the Target Store with a cart filled with assorted items that were not paid for. The subject also had in his possession a 24-inch Red and Black 10 speed bicycle. The subject was approached by a member from loss prevention. The subject refused to return to the store lifting up his shirt exposing a knife. The subject loaded the stolen items into gym bags and fled the area on the stolen bicycle. The subject was last seen heading west on Flannery Rd. No one was injured during the course of the robbery. The w/m is described as 40 plus years of age 5'10" inches tall approximately 160 to 170 pounds wearing a purple T-shirt with a star on the front and "I'm a Survivor" on the back and blue jeans. Sgt. Incident: Armed Robbery, Felony Theft
On November 27, 2006 at approximately 8:25 am in the 5800Blk of Denova St. an armed robbery of an individual occurred. The victim observed a Silver Volkswagon Jetta, four doors, with a temporary tag on the drivers side rear window, along with a license frame at the rear of the vehicle having the logo "Quality Imports" with no license plate. The Jetta drove near the victim and two black males exited the vehicle demanding the victims belongings. The first black male was described as 5'11'', medium complexion, slender build, wearing a black NASCAR jacket and blue jeans, brandishing a silver semi automatic pistol at the victim.
The second suspect is described as a, black male, 5'5'', dark complexion wearing a white t-shirt and blue jeans. The victim was unable to give a description of the other two black males in the vehicle. Deputies Curtin and Zachary are investigating the incident under file number 06-79139. Incident: Business Burglary
Detectives are investigating a burglary that occurred at 10281 Sullivan Road, the location of RadioShack. At approximately 12:30am an unknown person or persons forced entry into the business and committed the burglary. The person or persons responsible fled the area prior to the arrival of deputies.
