Detectives are investigating a homicide that occurred at 8424 Ned Ave., Apt C. At approximately 2:55am deputies were dispatched to the listed address in reference to a shooting. Upon arrival the victim was found to be suffering from at least one gunshot wound. The victim was transported to a local hospital where he died. The victim is identified as Leon Price, DOB 8/18/74, 8424 Ned Ave., Apt C. Deputies are looking for a black male, approximately 19 or 20 years of age, approximately 6' to 6'2" in height, dark complexion, with a low cut hair style. Deputies are investigating a burglary that occurred at 10505 Airline Highway, the location of Mike's Audio. At approximately 4:30am this date, an unknown person or persons forced entry into the business and committed the burglary. On 11/09/06, Deputies with the S.C.A.T.Team, Armed Robbery and Burglary , Detective and Narcotics Divisions conducted criminal patrols in the Glen Oaks and Mall City areas. Deputies made the following arrests and seizures:

Glen Oaks :

1. R.J. Hills - (Male 20) - Arrested for Possession of Marijuana, Resisting an Officer, Trespass and Criminal Damage to Property (Felony).

2. Srederick James - (Male 42) - Arrested for Loitering, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Open Container.

Mall City:

1. Raymond Robins - (Male 18) - Arrested for Possession of Marijuana.

2. Korey Jackson - (Male 18) - Arrested for Possession of Marijuana and Possession of Alcohol by Persons Under 21 years of age.

Deputies seized approx. 48.4 grams of suspected marijuana with a street value of $242.00

Armed Robbery at 4665 Essen Ln. location of Racetrac. On 11-10-2006 at approximately 12:22 am, a w/m armed with a screwdriver entered the store and took a case of beer. The clerk followed the subject outside of the store where the clerk observed the screwdriver and was advised to leave the subject alone. The w/m fled the area on foot. The subject was wearing a dirty white T-shirt and white jeans. Deputies arrested the subject nearby in an abandoned building. The subject was identified as Greg Fontenot 45 year old w/m. The subject was charged and booked into the parish prison. Dy. C. Parker investigating incident under file # 06-75412.

Hit and Run in the 1900 block of Mariner. On 11-9-2006 at approximately 8:34pm, a 15-year-old b/f was riding her bicycle in the area of Ned and Mariner when the juvenile was struck by a White 1997 Oldsmobile Delta 88 bearing Texas license plate R43RKV. After the juvenile was struck a b/m with a dark complexion approximately 5'4" inches tall dread hairstyle wearing a muscle shirt and black jeans exited the above vehicle and walked away from the area. The juvenile was transported to a local hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries. Deputies impounded the Delta 88. Dy. G. Johnson investigated this incident under file # 06-75375. Vandalism at 11817 Jefferson Hwy. Location of Resthaven Gardens of Memory. On 11-9-2006 at approximately 8:45pm, Deputies responded to this location in reference to a call of someone driving a vehicle through the Cemetery. Deputies met with a representative from Resthaven and observed tire marks where the lawn was torn up; flowerpots were damaged along with several headstones. The exact damage couldn't be determined until the morning. Dy. B. Daigle investigated this incident under file # 06-75381. 4. Monoque Milton - (Female 25) - Arrested for Profanity Prohibited and Resisting an Officer.

5. Shadelle Butler - (Female 44) - Arrested for Profanity Prohibited and Resisting an Officer.

6. Demond Jackson - (Male 23) - Cited for No Light on License Plate.

7. Louis Joseph - (Male 37) - Arrested for Possession of Marjuana.

8. Jamal Christopher Brown - (Male 23) - Arrested for Possession of Marijuana.

9. Marvin Alcee Jr. - (Male 20) - Cited for Driving Under Suspension and No Light on License Plate.

10. Todd Beauchamp - (Male 37) - Cited for Stopping, Standing and Parking.

Deputies seized approx. 30.0 grams of suspected marijuana with a street value of $150.00. Deputies also seized approx. 11.0 grams of suspected cocaine with a street value of $1,100.00.

Cpl. Stephen Hill and Cpl. Johnathan Alfred of the Armed Robbery and Burglary Division (ARAB), conducted a follow-up investigation into the car wash burglaries committed by one Gregory Keith Talley,W/M, D.O.B. 01-25-65, who is currently incarcerated at the EBR Parish Prison on multiple burglary counts(car wash burglaries). Talley was additionally charged and rebooked for the Simple Burglary and Simple Criminal Damage to Property of the Tiger Car Wash located at 3655 Oneal Ln, B.R., LA. The above listed burglary was reported on 10-15-06, under EBRSO File# 06-69493.

For the past three months, Det's from the East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriffs Office Armed Robbery and Burglary Division have been conducting an investigation regarding several car wash burglaries occurring throughout East Baton Rouge Parish. It was determined by investigating Det's, after viewing a video surveillance tape retrieved from one of the car washes, that the perpetrators occupied a white in color Ford Truck with damage to the rear fender, during the time of the burglary.

On 11-01-2006, Sgt. David Grunewald executed a traffic stop on a white Ford truck which apparently displayed a license plate that did not belong on the truck. The truck also had visual damage to the rear fender. The driver was identified as one Gregory Talley, W/M, DOB: 01-25-1965, of 804 W. Home St., Vandalia, Mo., After the traffic stop, Det's Davis, Alfred, Strickland, Dipuma, and Pitre continued their investigation which subsequently led to the arrest of Talley. Talley was arrested for 9 cts. Simple Burglary, 9 cts. Felony Theft, 9 cts. Simple Criminal Damage To a Coin Operated Device. Det's were able to clear the following File#'s, 06-45099, 06-61313, 06-67013, 06-67973, 06-68077, 06-70038, 06-71230, 06-71546, 06-72249. Talley was booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison. The investigation is continuing with more arrests expected.

Continuing an Investigation into several vehicle burglaries having occurred in the Southwest portion of East Baton Rouge Parish in recent weeks, Detectives Willie Stewart and Sgt. Ken Jackson of the Sheriff's Office Armed Robbery and Burglary Division (ARAB) arrested two individuals for multiple counts of vehicle burglaries, thefts and possession of stolen things. The following suspects were charged and placed in the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison, 1)Deontes Mayfield, B/M, Dob 11/27/88, 2715 Amanda Drive, Baton Rouge, LA. 2) Bryan Ricard, B/M, Dob 5/18/88, 1526 Jasper Avenue, Baton Rouge, LA.

Mayfield was charged with 3 cts. S/Burglary, 2 cts. theft, Theft of a Firearm, 2 cts. Illegal Possession of Stolen Things and 1 ct. of Simple Criminal Damage to Property.

Ricard was charged with 1 ct. of Criminal Trespass, 1 ct. of Illegal Possession of Stolen Things, PWITD Marijuana and 1 ct. of Illegal Possession of a Stolen Firearm.

During the investigation, Detectives located and seized the following items, which were later determined to be stolen 1) Dell Laptop Computer, 2) Sig Firearm 9 m/m, 3) Stereo Amplifier, 4) Two Speaker Boxes, 5) Dunham High School Letterman Jacket, 6) Southern University License Plate, 7) Apple Ipod, 8) Two Cell Phones, (9 Two Speakers.

The offenses were investigated under EBRSO file numbers 06-68480, 72741, 73018, 72932, 72468, 73024,and 72950 as they pertained to crimes occurring on the aforementioned streets in the southwest portion of East Baton Rouge Parish.

Detectives are investigating an armed robbery that occurred in the 8800 block of Prescott Road. The victim was driving on Prescott Road when he was struck in the rear by a black Chevrolet Impala occupied by two black males. As the victim exited his vehicle, he was confronted by the suspect who was armed with a handgun. The suspect robbed the victim, took his vehicle and fled the area. The two suspects were last seen traveling west on Prescott Rd. in both vehicles. The suspect is described as follows: black male, approximately 6'2" in height, weighing approximately 180lbs, braids in his hair, wearing dark clothing and a stocking on his head. The victim's vehicle is a burgundy 2005 Chrysler 300 with the word "CHRYSLER" air brushed on the rear in white. Persons with information regarding this investigation are asked to call 389-5000.

Continuing their investigation of an Armed Robbery and Kidnapping that occurred on Ned Avenue on October 30th, 2006, Detective Steven Gallo, Detective Willie Stewart and Cpl Stephen Hill of the Sheriff's Office Armed Robbery and Burglary Division (ARAB), arrested one Crystal Monique Turner, B/F, Dob 7/07/86, 1757 Port Drive, Baton Rouge, LA for Principal to Armed Robbery, Principal to Aggravated Kidnapping, Principal to Aggravated Battery and Possession of Marijuana. The investigation is continuing and more arrests are expected.

Continuing an Investigation of a Home Invasion/Armed Robbery that occurred in the area of Mariner Drive, on October 11th, 2006, at 0029 hours, Sgt. Ken Jackson and Cpl Darryl Michelli of the Sheriff's Office Armed Robbery and Burglary Division (ARAB) arrested and charged one Ervin Anthony Morgan, B/M, Dob 9/07/84, 2428 Gardere Lane #C, Baton Rouge, LA for Armed Robbery, Aggravated Burglary and Aggravated Battery. The investigation is continuing and more arrests are expected.
