Incident: Business Burglary
8200 Jefferson Hwy., location of Las Plamas Mexican Restaurant. At Approximately 11:25pm an unknown person or persons forced entry into the listed business. Detective Sgt. Jackson is investigating the burglary under file # 06-34767. Persons with information regarding this burglary are asked to call 389-5000.
Incident: Shooting
14506 Scenic Hwy Lot B, location of the Scenic Motel. At approximately 12:30am this date, Brandon Dwayne Bates, B/M, 6994 W. Upland Rd., Baton Rouge, La., committed the crimes of Attempted Second Degree Murder and Attempted Armed Robbery. Bates confronted the victim in the victim's room at the motel. Bates demanded money from the victim, who refused to comply. In an attempt to protect himself, the victim armed himself with a razor. As this was done, Bates produced a pistol and shot the victim once. The victim was treated at a local hospital for his injuries. Bates was located and charged accordingly. The case is being investigated by Detective Sgt. Moore and Detective Birdwell under file 06-34540.
Incident: Business Burglary
8336 Jefferson Hwy, location of Kleinpeter Photography. At approximately 11:05am this date, a person or persons forced entry into the business and committed a burglary. Detective Sgt. Jackson ARAB division is investigating the burglary under File # 06-34621.
Incident: Business Burglary
6441 Jones Creek Rd, location of Auto Evolution was burglarized at approximately 02:42am this date. An unknown person or persons forced entry into the business. Detective Sgt. Incident: Armed Robbery
A male victim reported that on Friday, May, 26, 2006, he was the victim of an armed robbery. The robbery occurred at 8815 Coy Ave. while the victim was in the parking lot. The victim was approached by four B/M individuals, one of which was armed with a black pistol. The victim was robbed of his belongings and the group of assailants left the area. Detective Sgt. Jackson ARAB Division is investigating the incident. Persons with information relative to this investigation are asked to call 389-5000.
Incident: Armed Robbery
Sholar @ Essen Lane, The victims were robbed at approximately 09:00pm by two W/M subjects. The individuals responsible for committing the armed robbery were armed with a pistol. The suspects left the area in a maroon Ford F-150 pick-up truck. Deputy Taylor, Uniform Patrol, Kleinpeter Substation, is investigating the incident under file # 06-34488.
Incident: Shooting
An 18 year old male victim was shot once after arguing with a B/M subject while attending a party in the 12000 block of Highland Rd. The shooting occurred at approximately 11:37pm in the front yard of the residence where the party took place. The victim was treated for what is described as a non-life threatening gun shot wound. The suspect is described as a B/M, between the ages of 17 and 20 approximately 6' tall with a muscular build. The suspect was last seen occupying a small red car which left traveling west on Highland Rd.
Update
Detectives have obtained an arrest warrant for the individual responsible for the shooting being investigated under file # 06-34524. The shooting took place on Saturday, May, 27, 2006 in the 12000 block of Highland Rd. Detectives are looking for the following person. Deorbra Woods B/M, 4/29/1987 6290 Laca St. Baton Rouge, La. Persons with information concerning the location of Mr. Woods are asked to call 389-5000
Incident: Business Burglary
16445 Highland Rd., location of Hemline Women's and Men's Apparel. A burglary occurred at approximately 02:35am on 5/27/2006. The person or persons responsible for committing the burglary forced entry into the business. Sgt. Jackson of the ARAB division is investigating the incident under file # 06-34256. Anyone with information relative to this burglary is asked to call 389-5000.
Incident: Stabbing… Attempted second degree Murder
9958 Burbank Drive, Location of Cracker Barrel convenience store. A twenty three year old female was stabbed multiple times while involved in an altercation at the listed address. The suspects are described as B/Fs between the ages of seventeen and twenty. The victim is being treated at a local hospital for what are described as non life-threatening injuries. Deputy Schilling of Kleinpeter Substation is investigating the incident. Persons with information relative to the investigation are asked to call 389-5000. The investigation is being conducted under file 06-34373.
Incident: Business Burglary
4601 Bluebonnet Blvd, Suite C, location of the Law Office of David Waguespack. At approximately 03:35am on 5/27/2006 one or more persons forced entry to the law office of David Waguespack. The burglary is being investigated by Sgt. Jackson, ARAB division. Persons with information regarding this burglary are asked to call 389-5000. The incident is being investigated under file # 06-34265.
Incident: Robbery
The East Baton Rouge Sheriff's Office is looking for two black males, who entered the Jiffy Mart Gas Station located at 12924 Coursey Blvd., last night at around 10:19 p.m. and stole approximately $4,710 worth of cigarettes.
The store clerk said that the subjects entered the business and placed a note on the door and locked the door. Then both subjects approached the store clerk with black plastic bags wrapped around their hands as though they possibly had weapons. One of the assailants told the store clerk to move from behind the counter and both subjects proceeded behind the counter and placed several cartons of cigarettes into black plastic bags that they had in their possession when they entered the business. After taking the carton of cigarettes both subjects exited the store and fled the scene on foot toward Stumberg Drive.
One subject was described as a black male, light/medium brown complexion, short hair, medium build, wearing a blue, white and green striped polo style shirt and blue jeans. The second subject is a black male, dark complexion, short hair, gold teeth, medium build, wearing a black, white and grey striped polo style shirt and black Dickies pants. Both subjects appear to be in their mid-twenties.
Anyone having any information on these two subjects are asked to contact the East Baton Rouge Sheriff's Office at 389-5000.

Detectives received a tip from an individual who had seen the photos that were shown on News release of the two perpetrators who had robbed the Jiffy Mart, 12924 Coursey Blvd. Using this information, Detectives positively identified one of the perpetrators as Aaron Dewayne Hickman, B/M, DOB: 2/23/1987. Detectives obtained an Affidavit Arrest Warrant for Hickman. Hickman remains at large.

Incident: Illegal Use of Weapon, 16000 Block of Ceaser
Illegal use of a weapon in the 16000 block of Ceaser. At approximately 8:01 pm, Dy's investigated a call in reference to shots being fired in the woods near a residence in Centurion Place Subdivision. Dy's arrested Brandon Daigre 21 year old male for the offense along with seizing an AK-47 rifle, a 9mm handgun, two dummy hand grenades and assorted ammo. Investigation handled by Dy's Brooks and Brignac Kleinpeter Substation under file # 06-33929.
Incident: Robbery
Robbery at 12924 Coursey Blvd. location of the Jiffy Mart store. Two b/m's entered the store and proceeded to take a large quantity of cigarettes. No injuries or weapons reported. The robbers fled the store on foot, last seen heading toward Jefferson Hwy. The robbers, approximately 25 to 30 years of age were dressed as follows, one subject was wearing a black and white stripe shirt and black dickies. Second subject was wearing a blue and yellow polo shirt and blue jeans. Det. Alfred armed robbery and burglary handling investigation under file # 06-33959.
Incident: Illegal Use of Weapon
Update on illegal use of a weapon in the 2100 block of Gardere Ln. Dy's at 1:37pm responded to shots being fired in the 2100 block of Gardere. Dy's were advised by witnesses that Terrence Johnson b/m, 25 years of age discharged a firearm after an altercation with his girlfriend. No injuries were reported. Dy's arrested Johnson a short while later, charging him with ill. use of a weapon, resisting an officer and domestic abuse battery. Johnson was booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison. Dy. Incident: Narcotics Arrest
On May 24, 2006, around 7:00 pm, the East Baton Rouge Sheriff's Office SWAT and Narcotics Division with the help of the Livingston Parish Sheriff's Office executed a duly authorized search warrant for the address of 474 East Flonacher Road. Arrested were Ronald Ray Wells, B/M, DOB, 5/28/59, charged with PWITD Crack Cocaine >28 grams, Distribution of a Schedule II Drug (Cocaine), Tania Rochelle Nixon, B/F, DOB, 7/18/74, charged with PWITD Schedule II Cocaine, Distribution of Schedule II Cocaine, Laura Walters, W/F, DOB, 10/21/61, charged with Possession of Schedule II Narcotic (Cocaine), and Donald Ray Washington, B/M, DOB, 4/6/57, who was charged with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Possession of Cocaine. Washington also had a bench warrant for his arrest on other traffic violations. During the search of the residence, Deputies found approximately 28 grams of suspected cocaine and a hand-held scale in the master bedroom. Incident: Narcotics arrests
On May 24, 2006, Narcotics detectives concluded and investigation relative to the entering of contraband into East Baton Rouge Parish Prison. Through the investigation it was learned that Latoya McCray (dob – 11/25/1976), Debra Boyd (dob – 01/28/1957), and Terry Boyd (dob – 01/17/1973) did enter contraband into East Baton Rouge Parish Prison. McCray was charged with Distribution of MDMA (ecstasy) and principle to entering contraband into a penal institution. Debra Boyd was charged with possession of MDMA (ecstasy) and entering contraband into a penal institution. Terry Boyd was charged with attempted possession of MDMA (ecstasy).

Incident: Drive-by shooting
Drive-by shooting in the 7800 block of Maplewood. At 11:24 p.m., large party was in progress when an older model, 4 door, white ford explorer with tinted windows began firing shots into the air. No one was injured. The vehicle was last seen heading toward Calion St. Dy. Robinson Central Sub-Station handling incident. File # 06-33718.
Incident: Shooting
Shooting in the 13000 block of Rampart Ct. At approximately 1600 hours, two b/m's were involved in an altercation. One of the subjects was wounded after attempting to use force to gain entry into the residence where the other subject was located. The subject was treated at a local hospital for non- life threatening injury. No charges filed at this time, case under investigation by Det. Cavalier under file # 06-33602.
Incident: Narcotics Arrest
19000 Block of Plank Road, Zachary, LA. During the course of a narcotics investigation, Jimmie Firmin White Male Date of Birth 2/2/67 was found to be in illegal possession of methadone, lortab, xanax, and drug paraphernalia. Firmin was booked into East Baton Rouge Parish Prison for Possession of Schedule II, III, IV, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
Detective Cleve Johnson is investigating the incident.
Incident: Drive-By Shooting
The victim was sitting at a residence in the 13000 block of Broad Ave. A B/M driving a black car possibly a Chrysler Sebring stopped in the Street. The B/M shot from the vehicle striking a 17-year-old victim once. The person responsible for the shooting left the area in the black Sebring. Detective Lechuga is investigating the case. Update
Detectives have determined through witness statements, that the victim of the shooting in the 13000 block of Broad Ct. shot himself. The victim was charged with Criminal Mischief for giving false statements while reporting the incident.
Incident: Business Burglary / Theft
4851 O'Neal Lane, location of O'Neal Shell. A burglary and theft occurred between 9:30pm and 9:40pm this night. Several persons forced their way into a locked storage area of the business and committed the burglary. The investigation is being conducted by Uniform patrol Sgt. Arcediano. The Armed robbery And Burglary division is assisting in the investigation. Anyone with information is asked to call 389-5000. The investigation is being conducted under file # 06-33427.
Incident: Armed Robbery / Carjacking
The victim was using the pay phone at 7270 Greenwell Sreet. This is the location of the Right Stop Convenience store. While using the phone, the victim was approached by a group of B/M subjects. One of the subjects produced a pistol and robbed him, taking his 1991 Lincoln Town Car. The incident occurred at approximately 10:45pm. The vehicle was subsequently recovered at 12:55am in the 5500 block of Silverleaf Ave. Deputy Altizan of Central Substation is investigating the incident. The individual responsible for the robbery is described as a B/M wearing a black shirt with blue jeans. This individual is said to have a dark complexion and a dread lock hair style. Incident: Business Burglary
14455 Wax Rd., location of Rhino Video Games. Unknown persons entered the store by forced entry and committed the burglary. Sgt. Jackson ARAB is investigating the incident. File # 06-33446, the incident occurred at 2:05am.
Incident: Shooting
8200 Block of Ned Ave a female victim was shot once in the abdomen. The victim reported that she attempted to take a pistol from a juvenile male who was playing with the gun. The weapon discharged, striking the victim. Detective Lt. Waguespack is working the incident. The juvenile is described as a young B/M 12 to 14 years of age wearing a white t-shirt and blue shorts.
Update
A review of the evidence in the shooting that occurred in the 8200 block of Ned Ave revealed that the shooting actually occurred inside of the victim's residence not outside as was originally reported. The investigation led to the arrest of the individual who actually fired the weapon, identified as Jordan Frazier, the spouse of the victim. Mr. Frazier was charged with Negligent Injury and Criminal Mischief. The victim was charged with Criminal Mischief for her actions in misrepresenting the incident.
