Vehicle Burglary and Theft at 5469 Winter. On 10-30-2006 between the hours of 2:00pm and 5:00pm a white Ford E-150 van was burglarized while parked at the previous listed address. The van displaying government license plates on the front and rear bumpers of the vehicle contained assorted non-lethal field training items. While the driver was away from the vehicle, unknown person or persons broke the rear window of the van and removed several military style flak jackets ACU (Army Combat Uniform) digital camo design along with CamelBak drinking system and harnesses. Dy Abernathy along with Detectives Pitre and Strickland from the Armed Robbery and Burglary Unit are investigating this incident under file # 06-73050. Anyone with information concerning this burglary is asked to contact the East Baton Rouge Sheriffs Office at 225-389-5000.
