1st Degree Vehicle Negligent Injury and Hit and Run at 14716 Florida Blvd. On 10-20-2006 at approximately 5:31pm, Deputies responded to the previous listed address in regard to a 10-year-old male victim being struck by a Dodge Durango. The juvenile was transported to a local hospital for treatment of his injuries. The injuries are non-life threatening. Deputies continued their investigation into this incident locating the vehicle at a residence on E. Bolivar. Deputies contacted the driver of the vehicle identified as Stephen Bachaleda 25 year old w/m. Bachaleda advised Deputies he observed two male juveniles walking on the side of the road when one of the males jumped in front of his vehicle. Bachaleda went on to state he checked on the juvenile, provided the juvenile his name and left. Bachaleda was arrested and booked into the parish prison for the prior listed charges. Dy. R.
