Incident: Attempted First-Degree Murder, Armed Robbery, Aggravated Criminal Damage to Prop
On July 28, 2006 at 6:50am, Ernest Jackson, Jr., Black / Male, date of birth 07/31/1988 of 9390 Tanglewood was booked into Parish Prison for Attempted First-Degree Murder, Armed Robbery, Aggravated Criminal Damage to Property and Aggravated Assault with a Firearm.
The victim in this case stopped to help a stranded female motorist in the 7200Blk of Joor Road at approximately 11:15pm. That's when Ernest Jackson appeared from the other side of the vehicle and pointed a gun at the victim, instructing him to drive Jackson to an undetermined location. The victim attempted to flee the scene in his vehicle when Jackson shot at the victim hitting the vehicle several times.
Jackson then fled the scene and was stopping near the intersection of Joor and Mickens Road. Ernest Jackson leaned out of the window of his vehicle pointed a gun at a second victim and shot two rounds at the victim hitting the vehicle. Through investigation and information from the victims, Cpl. Thornton was able to locate Jackson and he was subsequently arrested.
