Attempted Armed Robbery in the 7000 block of Silverleaf. On 7-15-2006 at approximately 7:45 am, a b/m, dark skin, gold teeth, approximately 26 years of age, 5'9" inches tall, 250 pounds, wearing a grey shirt and black sweat pants attempted to rob a homeowner. The subject knocked on the door, the homeowner opened the door and had a handgun pointed at him. The homeowner was advised to get on the floor. The homeowner slammed the door on the weapon; the b/m grabbed the gun and fled the area in a white or grey SUV or pickup truck. Cpl. Curtin is investigating this incident under file # 06-46493.
