Reserve Deputy Program

The Sheriff's Reserve Program consists of approximately 140 private citizens who donate time to serve as Reserve Sheriff's Deputies. Reserve Deputies act in the same capacity and carry the same powers of arrest as regular full-time Deputies.

Reserve Deputies are active in uniform patrol, traffic division, communications, criminal warrants and other divisions. They donate approximately 50,000 hours of work each year to the East Baton Rouge Sheriff's Office and to the citizens of East Baton Rouge Parish.
