Kellie Jolivette earned her Master’s Degree in Communication from LSU in 1996. She was employed as a Human Resources professional with the Louisiana Department of Public Safety and Corrections, Public Safety Services for more than 13 years prior to joining the East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff's Office in January 2009 overseeing hiring, promotions, employee benefits, policy and procedure and all other human resource operations.

The Human Resources Office is responsible for recruiting new employees for all positions with the East Baton Rouge Sherriff Office. We accept employment applications and assist candidates through the hiring process. We are responsible for the new employee orientation program for new hires, as well as the EBRSO Employee Recognition Program. Human Resources advertises internal employment opportunities such as transfers and promotions. We compile EEO statistics and complete surveys related to the EBRSO workforce. Lastly, Human Resources administers the benefits program for current and retired employees.
