EBRSO Looking For Armed Robbery Suspect

East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Detectives are looking for a man that reportedly robbed the Gardere Meat Market on November 26th at approximately 8:00 in the morning and shooting an employee in the leg.

According to reports, the man entered the store with a gun and demanded the victim give him money from the register. Before the victim could open the register, the suspect fired once striking the victim in the legs. The suspect then pointed the gun at other employees before going under the counter and forcing the victim to open the register. The suspect fled with an undisclosed amount of money.

He is described as a black male wearing a dark-hooded jacket, gray sweat pants with a lime green bandana covering the lower portion of his face. He reportedly fled the store and entered a silver or blue Mercury Marquis that was parked on the west side of the business and proceeded west on Gardere Ln.

The victim was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
