EBRSO Arrests Man for Strangling Wife to Death

East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s detectives arrested a man today after he admitted to strangling his wife to death.

Deputies responded to a call of a homicide at approximately 10:00 this morning in the 12000 block of Castle Hill Drive. Upon arrival, deputies discovered a deceased woman inside the residence.

Nicole Jones, 41, of 12850 Castle Hill was pronounced dead on the scene after EMS attempted to render aid.

Donald Germany II, 42, is charged with Domestic Abuse Battery and Second Degree Murder.

Detectives learned that Germany contacted family members this morning and confessed killing his wife, requesting they pick up his daughter from the residence. The child did not witness the homicide, nor was she injured.

Germany told detectives that he and his wife had an argument yesterday. When she returned from work this morning, they continued the conversation. He stated during the conversation a comment triggered him and he strangled his wife in the bed, killing her.

Germany was booked into parish prison on the above listed charges.
