EBRSO Arrest Two in Shootout and Looking for Two More



East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Detectives arrested two and are looking for two more involved in a shootout that occurred on April 25, 2015 in the 6000 block of Jones Creek at approximately 2:23 p.m.

WANTED: Christopher Jamal Bennett (dob 2/25/93) of 4523 Evangeline Street is wanted for Principal to Attempted 1st Degree Murder (6 counts), Principal to Assault by Drive-by-shooting (6 counts) and Principal to Aggravated Damage to Property (2 counts).

WANTED: Dalvis Joshua Nixon (dob 2/10/95) of 4244 Hollywood Street is wanted for Principal to Attempted 1st Degree Murder (6 counts), Principal to Assault by Drive-by-shooting (6 counts) and Principal to Aggravated Damage to Property (2 counts).

ARRESTED: Michael H. West (dob 3/24/62) of 922 Celeste Street was arrested and charged with Attempted 1st Degree Murder (4 counts), Aggravated Damage to Property (2 counts) and Illegal Use of a Weapon.

ARRESTED: Deandre Krashon Nixon (dob 2/5/94) of 466 E. Buchanan Street was arrested and is charged with Attempted 1st Degree Murder (6 counts), Assault by Drive-by-Shooting (6 counts), Aggravated Damage to Property (2 counts), Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon and Illegal Use of a Weapon.

According to reports, West parked his vehicle at the Firestone on Jones Creek and got out of the car. Bennett and both Nixons allegedly drove by on Jones Creek at which time Deandre Nixon and West exchanged gun fire.
