EBRSO Arrests Two in Homicide

East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Detectives responded to the 17300 block of Airline Highway at 10:00 p.m. yesterday in reference to a shooting during a planned drug deal in which one man died.

Sajaray Franklin (dob 6/15/98) of 1962 Rice Drive was pronounced dead on the scene.

Cristopher Gray (dob 11/26/95) of 37035 Murphy Webb Prairieville, LA is charged with 2nd Degree Murder and Conspiracy to Commit Armed Robbery.

Bodrick Tremaine Tuggle (dob 3/14/98) of 3883 Winbourne Ave. is charged with 2nd Degree Murder and Armed Robbery.

According to reports, Tuggle and Franklin allegedly went to meet another man with the intentions of robbing him of $1,500 during a planned marijuana sale. Tuggle stated that he stayed in the back seat of the car while Franklin met with subject. He later heard shots fired and found Franklin injured. Tuggle further stated that the robbery was planned with Gray and the three would allegedly split the money. This incident is still under investigation.
