EBRSO Apprehends Three Shortly After Bank Robbery

East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office detectives arrested three individuals this evening involved in a bank robbery that occurred today at approximately 10:40 a.m. at the Chase Bank located at 6170 Jones Creek Road.
Leroy George III, 19, is charged with First Degree Robbery; Terri Lynn Larrieu, 50, is charged with First Degree Robbery; and Regina Ann Alfred, 39, is charged with Accessory After the Fact to First Degree Robbery. All three live at 1680 O’Neal Lane. George is Larrieu’s nephew.

According to reports, George entered the Chase Bank this morning with his face covered and handed the bank teller a plastic shopping. He stated he had a weapon, though one was not seen, and demanded money. After receiving an undisclosed amount, he exited the bank and ran north on Jones Creek. He was last seen entering a silver Toyota Camry parked nearby. A witness was able to give detectives the license plate number of the vehicle.

Detectives located the vehicle, driven by Larrieu, on O’Neal Lane a short time later. Detectives proceeded to Larrieu’s residence where they located Alfred, George and a large amount of money, including four money orders. All three suspects were taken into custody for questioning.

George admitted that he entered the bank and committed the robbery, but stated he was not armed. Larrieu admitted to detectives that she was driving during the robbery, and Alfred stated that she was aware of the planned robbery due to their facing eviction from their apartment.

The subjects will be booked into parish prison on the above listed charges. Detectives are also checking other robberies in the area to determine any possible connections.
