The East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office arrested a man early this morning allegedly involved in a shooting yesterday evening in which one man died and two were injured in the Glen Oaks area.
Cedric Glasper, 24, last known address 5122 Wilmont St. is charged with Second Degree Murder, two counts Attempted Second Degree Murder and Illegal Use of a Weapon.
Detectives responded to reports of a shooting at 6:13 yesterday evening at 7350 Dan Drive. Three men were transported to a local hospital with gunshot wounds. Corinthian Robertson, 23, of 11125 Lake Cypress later died as a result of his injuries. The other two men are expected to recover.
According to reports, Glasper arrived at the Dan Drive address and had a verbal altercation with one of the men at the residence. Glasper left and later returned with two unknown black male subjects. Glasper exited the vehicle had a physical altercation with two of the men at the residence. At that time, one of the men at the residence grabbed a stick. The two unknown subjects in Glasper’s vehicle then exited the vehicle and allegedly began firing on the victims. Glasper and one of the subjects fled in a gold/pewter-colored Avalanche. The third suspect fled on foot.
The injured suspects at the hospital identified Glasper in a photographic lineup. Glasper was arrested for the above listed charges and booked into parish prison. This incident is still under investigation.
