East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Detectives are looking for a woman that allegedly scammed a Wal-Mart cashier into loading money on black debit cards at the Wal-Mart located at 10606 N. Mall Drive on May 8, 2014 at approximately 6:00 p.m.
According to reports, the suspect told a cashier that she was a customer service representative, and conducted nine transactions for $500 each. During each transaction she instructed the cashier to hit the "cash out" button, which resulted in the charge being credited onto the debit card each time this was done. These actions caused Wal-Mart to sustain a total loss of $4,536.18.
The suspect is described as a black female wearing a blue jean jacket with a white under shirt.
