EBRSO Arrests Two Students For Making Threats on Social Media

EBRSO Deputies received two separate calls yesterday evening and this morning in reference to threats made on Instagram by two different students. The incidents are not believed to be related. The call received yesterday evening was in reference to a 15-year-old eighth grader at Westdale Middle School that made posts on social media in reference to shooting at the school today. The second call received this morning was in reference to a 14-year-old eighth grader at Westdale Middle that also made a post on social media in reference to shooting at the school today. Deputies with the School Drug Task Force went out to the school at 5650 Claycut Road this morning and took both students into custody. Neither had any weapons. The 15-year-old stated he made the post as a joke, and the 14-year-old gave no reason. 

Both are charged with Terrorizing and were booked into Juvenile Detention.
