Message From The Sheriff

The East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office would like to invite the public to its Annual Hunter’s Sight-in Program.  This event gives hunters the opportunity to make sure their hunting and sporting rifles are zeroed-in prior to the opening of hunting season. The location will be the East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office Firearms Training facility located at 999 W. Irene Road, Zachary, LA.  The event will be held Tuesday, October 28th through Monday, November 3rd from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day.  All weapons will be sighted in by Range Staff only. Weapons must be in good working condition. No Muzzleloaders and no reloaded ammunition will be fired

EBRSO Arrests Man For Murder - East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Detectives arrested a man early this morning in a shooting that occurred last night at 11:14 p.m. in the 8000 block of Bayou Fountain Avenue that left one man dead.
