Message From The Sheriff

The East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office would like to invite the public to its Annual Hunter’s Sight-in Program.  This event gives hunters the opportunity to make sure their hunting and sporting rifles are zeroed-in prior to the opening of hunting season. The location will be the East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office Firearms Training facility located at 999 W. Irene Road, Zachary, LA.  The event will be held Tuesday, October 28th through Monday, November 3rd from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day.  All weapons will be sighted in by Range Staff only. Weapons must be in good working condition. No Muzzleloaders and no reloaded ammunition will be fired

EBRSO's Office K-9 Team Named National Champions - The East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office K-9 Team was named the 2014 United States Police Canine Association National Trial Champions. Captain James Broussard and K-9 INDO and Lt. Steven Whitstine and K-9 TIGO attended the 2014 USPCA trials held in Wilson, NC.

Law Encorcement Arrest 8 in King Bradford Area Neighborhood Initiative - The East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office carried out a neighborhood initiative this morning in the King Bradford area to create a safer environment for residents that resulted in approximately 8 arrests and the clearing of 13 outstanding bench warrants that ranged from traffic violations to drug possession.

CARTA 26 Graduation Tomorrow - EBRSO's Capitol Area Regional Training Academy 26 will hold its graduation tomorrow at the Healing Place Church (annex building closest to the road) on Highland Road at 10 a.m. The doors will open at 9:30 a.m.
